NADAL CONQUERS THE POKER TABLE

Top 1 tennis player Rafael Nadal won his first live poker tournament last 13th of December in Prague. The 100.000€ of the prize will go for a charity, and the Spanish player showed himself really happy and proud after the tournament: “I had a great time during these days in Prague. Its been a really good experience playing with such a good players and friends. But tomorrow I have to wake up at 9 to keep playing tennis.”

The charity event counted with other participants such as downhill skier Alberto Tomba, or football legends such as Ronaldo Nazario or Andrei Shevchenko. Besides, the world top poker player Daniel Negreanu took part as well.

Nadal, who started player poker only one year ago, when he got injured on his knee, was pretty surprised about his victory. He had taken part in some online tournaments, but this was his first live event, and the experience could not be any better.

When he was asked which charity will get the price, he said that he had not decided yet, since he couldn’t expect to be the tournament winner. Some people are wondering what is going to be next, after conquering top position in tennis and defeating top poker player. But the 27 years old player from Manacor has her mind very clear: “Tennis is my life. Poker is a hobby”
