We have seen it many times. Celebrity playing at a casino makes it to the front pages in the papers. But no matter how many times we see it, next time it will still make it to the papers.

So here is the case. Last week Ray Allen, NBA star currently playing for Miami Heat was caught in Casino Bellaggio in Vegas. I still don’t know why all this things catch our attention so badly, but it does. Every time we find a celebrity in a casino, we feel the need to take pictures, tweet about it, make it public. As if they wouldn’t have the right to have fun and enjoy their lives. And certainly they have the money to allow themselves a crazy night in the casinos. Some people say he was playing at a blackjack table, where the minimum hand was $10.000. But what is this sum for someone who has made around $200m during his professional career? Who are we to judge anyone who has his gambling hobbies under control? He is a well respected NBA player, with over a decade of bright trajectory.

Maybe because we are under the influence of previous news about celebrities losing all their money in addictions like gambling or drug abusing, we tend to criminalize certain activities from celebrities. Like, a famous actor gets drunk at a party and makes a little fool of himself. So what? Most of us have got drunk sometimes in our lives. And we wouldn’t like our drunk face in the front page of tomorrow’s paper, would we?

Some people think that behind these cases reaching the news, there is also a hidden interest from the casinos. It’s definitely an incredibly good and free publicity. Taxi Driver Finds $300K

Yes, the title is right. And its a pity that such a headliner is surprising and shocking news. Because this man, Gerardo Gamboa, just did the correct thing.

The day of last 23rd December, Gamboa found a bag in his taxi, forgotten by one of his clients. He thought the bag contained chocolate, but when he opened it, he couldn’t believe his eyes. Most of the people hasn’t seen all this money together in their lives, and he just found it in the back seat of his taxi.

What to do in that situation? Gamboa called his boss, and turned it in at his office. They called the police, who started an investigation. These kind of investigations are not easy to carry, since many people would try to claim that the money is theirs. But they asked for the cooperation of the casino authorities, and finally, after a few hours they found the clumsy owner of the money: a famous professional poker player that asked to remain anonymous.

Gamboa’s boss declared that the poker player was really grateful and thankful to the taxi driver and couldn’t believe about his honorable action.

Gamboa, who has been driving his taxi since 1989, has been decorated by Las Vegas Major, and also won a 1000$ check donated by his boss. We don’t have any certain information about the reward given by the professional poker player, but some rumors say that it reached 10.000$. However, Gamboa declared that even if he wouldn’t get any reward, he would act same way, because that the way he was raised by his family, and he just did what he thought was the right thing to do. If we would all do the right thing, these facts wouldn’t be shocking news.
